Chris is the Clinical Director at Miles Physio and has over 13 years’ experience working as a physiotherapist in both the NHS and private sectors.  He has worked in various specialities including neurology, respiratory and neurosurgery, before specialising in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal disorders.

He completed his first degree in Sport Science, majoring in Biomechanics and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2009. These two qualifications have complemented each other in his treatment of a wide range of orthopaedic conditions and pathologies.

After developing a specialist interest in AposHealth® and gait modification, Chris has since completed a Masters in Biomechanics, publishing papers in peer-review journals and has presented at national conferences on the subject. He is the Lead Trainer in AposHealth® for the UK, and contributed to the development of the treatment methodology and training courses for other healthcare professionals across the UK and worldwide.  He has a passion for treating patients with chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, and giving them the knowledge and tools they need to improve their conditions.

Personalised

Understanding each patient is different and ensuring they all receive a personalised service, allowing them to fulfil their personal wants and needs.

Enabling

A focus on developing patients own capabilities and an understanding of how to manage their conditions independently, providing them the tools they need to improve.

Coordinated

Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and services that will ensure the patient receives the right care at the right time.

Dignity, compassion and Respect

Keeping in mind that patients have their own thoughts, feelings, opinions, beliefs, and values. Maintaining dignity by respecting their wishes and treating them with compassion and empathy.

Our Mission

We Believe In Patient-Centred Care

Delivering person-centred care involves caring for patients beyond their condition and tailoring our service to suit their individual wants and needs.

We get to know patients and actively involve them in the treatment plans, and where possible, adapt the service to their expectations and preferences.
